Training
Service sheet 5/6 · Low · 1–2 days per group, plus follow-upTeach the people who will run the system — often the cheapest fix on this catalogue.
- Operator training: how to run, pause, edit and monitor the delivered system without a developer.
- Tool literacy: how staff use general AI tools (writing, spreadsheets, summarising, translation) safely with company data.
- A short written policy: what may be pasted into a public AI tool and what may not.
- Role-based sessions (operators, managers, front-line) — recorded
- Quick-reference cards for the delivered system
- Data-handling policy (one page) aligned with the Cyber and Data Protection Act
- Follow-up clinic 30 days later
- You bought a tool and nobody uses it.
- Staff already use public AI tools on their phones with customer data, and nobody has said what is allowed.
- The problem is drafting, summarising, translating or spreadsheet work — a skill gap, not a system gap.

| Your side | A room, laptops or phones, real (anonymised) examples from your work |
| Output | Trained operators; policy; reference cards; recording |
| Pricing fit | Day rate or fixed per cohort |
| Zimbabwe constraint | Cover data-bundle cost and offline habits; train on WhatsApp-first workflows |
- A generic "AI awareness" seminar with no hands-on work on your documents.
- No data-handling policy — staff leave the room and paste a customer list into a chatbot.
- Training that is only available while you keep paying the vendor's retainer.

Training is the sheet vendors skip because it does not scale for them. For the buyer it is often the whole answer: the marketing team that needs first drafts, the admin who needs to summarise forty emails, the manager who wants a clean monthly report — these are skills problems, and a two-day course with your own documents on the screen fixes them for less than a month of any build.
Two kinds of training, do not confuse them. Operator training is part of every S-03 implementation and should be in that contract. Tool literacy is a standalone purchase: it teaches teams to use general AI tools well and safely, and it comes with the one-page policy that stops someone pasting a customer list into a public chatbot — which, under the Cyber and Data Protection Act, is a disclosure you are responsible for.
